Even as they become one with their smart phones, has the public truly lost its trust in science?
On the 11th of April 2012, Laureate Professor Peter Doherty visited Embiggen Books to join Peter Ellerton in a discussion which roamed from microbiology to alternative medicine, from high school experimentation to the LHC, from computational modelling to Nazi architecture. They attempt to understand the reluctance of the general public to embrace the very science which has made everyone’s lives so long and so amazing. In only an hour they endeavour to navigate a path towards a more scientifically-friendly society.
